AUDITION INFORMATION
Eligibility
Open to Malaysian pianists, by citizenship only, up to age 25 years old (born in 1998 or after)
Repertoire Selection
2 contrasting pieces from the list below:
– One work by Bach
– One classical sonata (first movement) by Haydn, Mozart, Clementi, or Beethoven
– One work from the Romantic period
– One work from the 20th/21st century
– One etude by Chopin
– One concerto movement
Video Recording Requirements
- Please start your video by introducing yourself, stating your name and age, and mentioning that you are recording for the Sandra Thomas Lapsley Piano Masterclass.
- Make sure that your face is clearly visible in the video; failure to show your face may result in disqualification.
- Record your entire performance in one take, including the transitions between pieces.
- Pausing the recording for any reason will not be accepted.
- Upload your performance video to YouTube and set it as “unlisted.” Please note that there will be no reminders if the video is found under the “private” setting.
